This Art Portfolio Course is designed to aid students interested in developing a portfolio to strengthen their artistic skills and engagement.
Students will be encouraged to develop their ideas through research and working on personal projects. Subjects covered include, drawing from observation, ideas development, collage, colour work, basic printing and developing a personal project.Through continual emphasis on idea generation, group discussion, evaluation and practical application, students will identify and clarify the process involved in producing a body of art work. The visual research will be presented through notebooks, worksheets and resolved pieces.
It is suitable for students of all levels: Students that wish to attempt a new hobby, build on existing skills and those who wish to get a body of work together that will cater for the entry to third level art and design colleges.
